Platform Choices
You may choose from:
Alcohol Delivery (Optional for Operators Outside Utah)
Operators in certain states can legally deliver alcohol. For those markets, the Generic Store Template includes an Adult Beverage section, allowing you to offer beer, wine, and spirits alongside regular grocery items.
This is a strong revenue driver in areas with:
-
Vacation rentals
-
Pre-arrival stocking services
-
Tourist traffic
-
High-income weekend visitors
Important Note:
Alcohol delivery is not available in Utah, but is fully supported for operators in states where it is permitted.

Costco Business Membership Requirement
To operate the Costco-Focused or Hybrid Platform, you must maintain an active Costco Business Membership.
The Costco Business Membership explicitly allows you to purchase items for resale. The key benefits regarding buying and reselling are:
-
Resale Tax Exemption: Business Members can file a valid resale license number with Costco and declare items for resale at checkout to avoid paying sales tax on those specific purchases (alcohol and tobacco have restrictions).
-
Costco Business Centers: Access to Costco Business Center locations, which stock a larger variety of commercial-friendly products, often in larger quantities, and many items are already individually packaged for resale.
-
Buying in Bulk: The ability to purchase products in bulk, even by the pallet or truckload in some cases, which is ideal for businesses focused on reselling.
In short, the membership facilitates reselling by allowing tax-exempt purchases and providing access to a broader, more business-focused inventory.
Website Hosting Requirement
Your platform subscription does not include hosting. You must maintain an active Wix hosting plan to keep your website online.
This gives you:
-
Full access to your website editor
-
Control over your domain
-
Ability to add additional users depending on your Wix plan
-
Direct billing and ownership of your website
Co-Op Shopper handles the technical platform; hosting remains your responsibility.
Optional Upgrade — Split Multipack Shopping
Our three-tiered selection feature allows you to choose the perfect inventory level for your business, enabling customers to purchase single items from selected Costco multipacks.

Split-item shopping dramatically increases your earning potential and order sizes.
